A new group of students from grades 6 and 7 arrived on March 31st in the city of Medellin to live an experience, the 30th Edition of Copa Alcazares. Alpamayo students prepared in a special way in the different sports disciplines, aware that this time they would have to fight every game if they wanted to achieve one of the top three spots. In the end, that’s what happened.
We had a great turnout achieving silver and bronze medals in soccer, basketball, table tennis and chess, as well as a bronze medal in athletics at hurdles.
From Lima, parents encouraged us every day through a group that was formed between almost everyone and where they followed minute-by-minute accounts of each game. Cheers to the boys and their coaches who appropriately trained them.
Each child has intensely lived Alcazares in every moment as much in school as with the host families who were helpful in making their stay in Medellin very pleasing.
