Over the years, Colegio Alpamayo has been honored with distinctions in Academic Excellence from different universities. These distinctions are a recognition of the effort, values, and the academic results of our graduated students in their respective universities.
Starting this academic year, Colegio Alpamayo has been selected as a member of the International Boys’ School Coalition (IBSC). This network of boys’ schools is dedicated to the education and development of boys.
Alpamayo’s delegation, which traveled to Santiago, Chile, to represent our school in the final of the Copa Fubolito Bimbo de las Américas, received a trip to the National Stadium in Santiago to watch the Copa América final in recognition for their effort and dedication.
Rodolfo Chang and Diego Parodi, both Seniors this year, provided a breath of fresh air as hosts of this year’s Family Fun Day. With the assistance of our very own theater teacher, Mr. Jorge Mena, playing the role of Mr. Off, the booming voice heard offstage, this year’s entertainment was as energetic as it was original.
Between June 5th to June 7th, the inaugural Villa María Model United Nations (VMMUN) was held on the Villa María campus. Alpamayo brought 22 of our Seniors to this first year of VMMUN, joining the 859 other students from schools around Lima. This was our Seniors’ first experience with Model United Nations. Our school represented three different countries through various committees: India, Jordan and Iceland.
I was privileged to attend the recently held Montessori Model United Nations Workshop in the Pucalán Montessori School in Santiago, Chile. This was an international workshop with teachers from both Chile and Peru.
In keeping with our long-standing tradition of solidarity at our school, our 9th grade students carried out their project of social assistance in I.E. Padre Miguel Marina, located in the district of San Antonio, Auqui Basilio - Jicamarca.
