In Preschool COFAM, before our October vacation, our children enjoyed “English Week”. In order to present the shows, we relied on the support of parents and the English staff. For three days we had different activities that strengthened the learning of English as a second language.
Parents not only helped their children at home but also came to the school to tell stories. All the teachers were involved in the internal activities, such as the Spelling Bee, chef’s activity, and arts and science projects in each of the grade levels. Macmillan accompanied us with a “Little Red Riding Hood” puppet show. The Kindergarten children interacted with the performance by “Cataplum”.
The main show was different for each level. Nursery and Prekinder offered a recital with songs in which they showed great enthusiasm. Parents even got teary-eyed when they saw their young children dancing, acting, and singing in English. In Kindergarten, the children presented a show called “The Bungle Jungle”. This time, the children not only acted, but also narrated the whole story.
